Prepared in accordance with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, Number 2 of 2000 (the “Act”) and the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act No 4 of 20131 (“PoPI”).
The internet has changed the way we live and operate as it has become our fundamental tool and resource we use daily. We carry out payments and transactions, use our search engines to look up information, keep up-to-date with our friends and family and follow local and international news.
My Glass sees the importance in ensuring that our users retain their privacy whilst taking the advantage of all the services and features we offer. We understand that your privacy is important to you, which in turn makes it even more important to us. With that being said, we will protect the information you share with us.
Protecting your information is achieved by following stringent procedures and policies that are in accordance with global standards and practices for customer information privacy and the protection of information.
Collection of information
My Glass will, from time to time, ask you for your personal information. We collect information using different methods depending on the application/service you are using and this also includes information provided by our providers/partners. When you register to use our services we may ask for personal information, this can include information such as Your Email Address, ID Number, Gender etc. Concerning credit card/debit card information, your data will be processed and stored with our payment service providers who have their own privacy policies.
Protecting Your Information
My Glass make use of and implement a host of security measures to ensure that your information is protected at all times. We enforce policies and procedures to ensure the safety of your information which are in line with the Protection Of Private Information (POPI) Act.
External / Third-Party Links
My Glass will occasionally, at their discretion, include or offer external products or services on/within our applications and solutions. These external parties, partners, or providers have independent privacy policies. It is for this reason that we take no responsibility or liability for the content, activity, or services of these linked sites, We do, however, aim to protect the integrity of our sites and applications and therefore welcome any feedback about any of these third-party or external sites/services.
Disclosing information to third parties
My Glass does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our applications, conducting our business, or maintaining the high level of service we provide to you; so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
Scope of policy
This policy is an online policy and applies only to information that we collect through online methods and not to information that we collect offline.
