What is ADAS?
If your vehicle has ADAS safety features, it’s crucial for a recalibration to be performed when your windscreen is replaced. ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assisted System. This system includes a wide range of safety features for vehicles, such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning (LDW), lane assist, night vision cameras and adaptive lighting.
What is ADAS Calibration?
Most ADAS features rely on windscreen-mounted cameras in order to operate effectively. Please note, many vehicles are self-recalibrating, which means you will not need it to be recalibrated by a fitment centre. Our expert team will advise you if your vehicle will need to be recalibrated and assist in this process.

What is the difference between ‘Shatterprufe®’ and ‘Shatterproof’?
This is a question we tend to get often! ‘Shatterprufe®’ is a trademark and ‘shatterproof’ is a safety characteristic that refers to the construction and physical properties of the product / windscreen. Shatterproof consists of 2 or more pieces of glass laminated together using a vinyl (PVB) interlayer. This prevents the glass from shattering into splinters when impacted. All windscreens legally sold in South Africa are shatterproof and comply with SABS safety standards.
